Here at Just Cats, every member of our staff has undergone or is currently studying for specific feline qualifications.

This means that our team is fully invested in providing cats with superior care tailored especially for our cat patients.

No other clinic in the Dublin area has the level of cat specific equipment and training that we have here at Just Cats, make us your first port of call if your cat requires referral for a more complex case.

Why might my cat need a referral to a specialist?

If your cat has a complex medical condition or requires advanced diagnostics or treatments, a referral to a specialist may be recommended.

How does the referral process work?

Your primary vet will collaborate with a specialist, sending your cat’s medical history and details to ensure a smooth transition for specialized care.

Can I choose the specialist my cat is referred to?

You can discuss options with your vet, who will recommend the best specialist based on your cat’s needs.

Will I still see my regular vet after a referral?

Yes, your regular vet will remain involved and receive updates from the specialist to continue care after the referral is complete.

Are specialist treatments more expensive?

Specialist care may come with additional costs due to the advanced procedures or expertise required, but your vet can discuss estimates with you.

For non-urgent cases we always aim to ring you within 24 hours. Please note we can only accept advice requests from veterinary surgeons, not directly from cat owners. Thank You.
