Ultrasonography is a non-invasive medical test whereby a small probe is placed on the skin at the area of concern be it abdominal or cardiac. This probe emits high frequency sound waves which in turn capture images from inside of your cat’s body. Ultrasound scanning can tell us a wealth of information regarding your cat’s health. This procedure may require mild sedation to help minimise stress for your cat. 

Whether your cat is not responding to treatment or getting a closer look at what might be a problem area, our vets may suggest an abdominal ultrasound for your pet.

The ultrasound machine sends sound waves into your pet’s body, these sound waves are reflected back to form a picture of what’s going on inside your pet.
