Pet Passports

Travel internationally with your cat using our pet passport service.

About the service

If you’d like to take your cat abroad on holiday with you, you’ll need a pet passport.

If you plan on taking your cat outside of Ireland there are some things to consider first. Because requirements are different depending on the country you are travelling to, we do ask owners to contact the embassy of the country they are travelling to and the mode of transport they are taking be it plane or boat and request any specific requirements they need to allow your cat to enter the country. Then, Just Cats can help you ensure that you have both the necessary documentations and the correct vaccinations and parasitic treatment to allow for a smooth and safe journey.

If your cat needs a passport this is also something that we can organise for you. Travelling can sometimes be stressful for cats. We would be delighted to discuss some tips in minimising stress for your feline friend during the trip.

What is a pet passport, and why does my cat need one?
A pet passport allows your cat to travel internationally by certifying they meet health requirements, such as vaccinations and microchipping.
Your vet will guide you through the process, ensuring all necessary vaccinations, treatments, and documentation are in place before travel.
Most countries require a pet passport or similar documentation to prove your cat meets health regulations for entry.
It’s best to start preparing well in advance, as some vaccinations or treatments may need to be done weeks or months before travel.
Without meeting travel requirements, your cat may be quarantined, denied entry, or face delays, so it’s important to ensure all conditions are met.
