About Us

Cats often become stressed when introduced to novel situations, like when going in the car, and visiting the vet. We do our best to alleviate these stresses at the clinic and will provide you with information on how to help make your trip here at calm as possible. In designing our new clinic, 'cat-friendliness' was accounted for at every step, from our waiting room to our cattery. Your cat will feel at ease with our staff, who handle patients with empathy and compassion and we allow your cat time to acclimatise to the new environment. The feline facial pheromones that diffuse in the air throughout the clinic help too!

Just say hello....

Roberta D'Antone DVM Veterinary Surgeon

Originally from Sicily, Roberta qualified from the University of Bologna in 2012. In Italy she worked in a small animal practice and in a wildlife rescue centre before moving to Dublin in September 2012. Before joining our team in Just Cats Roberta worked in the DSPCA and in the referral Veterinary Hospital in UCD . She has had a love of all animals from a young age but always had a soft spot for cats. From the time she learned to cycle a bike she was bringing home every stray she could find. This solidified Roberta's career choice and she is now studying to obtain a Post Graduate Certificate in Feline Practice. Roberta has a lovely ginger cat named Duma who came all the way over from Sicily with her. In her spare time Roberta loves reading and cooking as well as travelling every time she gets the chance to.

Roisin Foran RVN Veterinary Nurse

Roisin hails from Ratoath. She got her first cat when she was seven years old following years of pestering her mother, who is still scared of cats! Incidentally, the day the new cat, called Rachel, arrived to her new home she ran away, escaping from the car as she was not in a carrier (tut tut!). Roisin was suitably distraught, but all was well when Rachel reappeared the following day. Roisin has always wanted to be vet nurse, and a stint of work experience while in secondary school cemented the idea. She studied Veterinary Nursing in Dundalk IT, where she graduated in October 2012. Roisin had worked with mainly cats and dogs since graduation. She was thrilled when this cat specific opportunity arose at Just Cats. She is currently studying for a Diploma in Feline Nursing, and is involved in promoting Cat Friendly Nursing skills to the student nurses in the various colleges.

After the loss of her much loved cat, Dasher, Roisin recently adopted Phatt Kat, a very overweight kitty that needed a new home when her owners were moving out of the country. She is 6 years old and was put straight on a diet! She started at 7.1kg and is now a fantastic 4.1kg. She is like a new cat since loosing the weight, full of life and fun and we hope that she will gain all the health benefits of weight loss with her new family

Rachel Flynn RVN Veterinary Nurse

Rachel  is originally from Waterford and graduated as a veterinary nurse from UCD in 2016. From a very young age Rachel loved animals and from her first ever vet visit she knew she wanted to become a nurse. Rachel has a lab cross called Rocky who unfortunately would never allow her to get a cat while living at home. Now residing in Clonskeagh Dublin Rachel is on the look out to adopt a cat/kitten with her roomates. Rachel has had a love of horses while growing up and would be down helping out in local yards and receiving lessons on a weekly basis. Before joining us here in Just Cats Rachel volunteered in the DSPCA for the summer of 2015 and went on to work for them for the couple of months following. In her spare time Rachel likes running and keeping fit.
