Frequently asked questions
WHAT IS THE PET HEALTH PLAN ?
The Pet Health Plan helps to spread the cost of annual veterinary care. The major advantage of Pet Health Plan is that unlimited vet appointments are included.
You can book your cat for a free check up as often as you like – you will only pay for medications or if additional treatments are required.
WHAT VACCINATIONS ARE INCLUDED
IN THE PET HEALTH PLAN?
Vaccinations for cats that are included in the PHP are their annual vaccination including Feline Leukaemia.
IS FOOD INCLUDED IN THE PET
HEALTH PLAN?
Pets will get 20% off any Royal Canin life-stage or prescription food that we stock. In some cases, the saving will pay forthe monthly cost of the Pet Health Plan.
IS THIS PET INSURANCE?
No. The Pet Health Plan is a service agreement and is not intended to be a form of pet insurance. Your cat could be a member of our Pet Health Plan and have insurance. There is very little crossover.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
PET HEALTH PLAN AND PET INSURANCE?
Pet Insurance is used if your cat has an accident or illness. As well as your premium, you pay an excess for each condition annually. Pet insurance does not cover vaccinations and routine check ups. The Pet Health Plan is used to spread the cost of pet healthcare over 12 months. You pay a monthly fee which covers the services and products listed. You pay extra for medications or further treatments as required. The Pet Health Plan includes all consultations as well as vaccinations and an annual blood test. You will always use your pet healthcare plan in a 12 month period.
WHAT ANIMALS QUALIFY TO JOIN THE
PET HEALTH PLANS?
All breeds of cats can join the Pet Health Plan.
No, cats of any age can join
the Pet Health Plan.
ARE THERE AGE RESTRICTIONS?
No, cats of any age can join the Pet Health Plan.
THAT ALL SOUNDS GREAT BUT THERE MUST BE SOME NEGATIVES?
Medications are not included and must be paid for at the time of the visit. Any extra treatment or tests required are not included and must be
paid for at the time of the visit.
Treatment outside of opening hours and at other clinics are not covered. Home visits are not covered.
CAN I CANCEL MY AGREEMENT?
Yes. Contracts are for 12 months from the start date but you can cancel at any time provided that you:
• Give us 28 day’s notice in writing by post or
by e-mail, and
• Pay the normal price for any treatment or services already received during your plan year to pay out the rest of your contract, whichever is less.
